Inventory would indicated that David Chandler with so few goods probably a young unmarried man, probably son or brother of Richard Chandler.

According to Ann Veazey Davis' book, your William James Veazey was the son of Ezekiel Veazey and Elizabeth Veazey (his cousin). Ezekiel was the brother of William Veazey (1756-1806) who is my ancestor.

This information was documented in the "Little Fertilizer Book." He was known to have migrated to Mississippi. Family history sent to me by Dr. Ethelyn Smith of Senatobia, Mississippi, written by Janice Barnett Craft in May of 1992, begins with William James Veazey,thought to be the grandson of James and Elizabeth Hollingsworth Johnson Veazey. The information sent to me by Eleanor Miller Mayfarth corroborates that previsously received.

416. ii. JONATHAN W. VEAZEY, b. 25 FEB 1813 in GEORGIA, d. 19 aug 1859 at TATE COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI.

418. iv. ERASMUS FRANKLIN VEAZEY, b about 1827 at MADISON COUNTY, ALABAMA, d. before 1870 in CIVIL WAR PRISON. He is buried in Surrett Cemetery.
