Hi Again,

Here's some of the data, but I need to copy much more of this and mail it to you. James Jameson, Sr. died 1815 m/ Christianna Linnington died 1821 (it appears my information about the dates of their deaths is incorrect) James was the son of Dr. John James Jameson of Edgecombe Co., NC and his second wife, Martha ? Jameson.

From the records I have, it appears that your John was in Twiggs Co., GA in the early 1800's, as was George, James, William L., Duke K., Nathaniel and David James. Some of them went to Alabama for a few years: Wm. L(ancaster), & Duke K. All of the Jameson boys were in Capt. Jefferson's District in Twigg s Co., GA in 1818. I looked in the records that I have and your John just sort of disappears. I guess that is when he went to Texas. I know how anxious I get about new information, so maybe this will give you something to work with until I can mail more to you. I did not do this research. It is a combination of input by many descendants. The information was compiled by Helen Johnson. She was kind enough to forward it to me when I contacted her about the location of James Jr.'s grave. It will take me awhile to go through all the papers, as there is much there that is indirect information. I'll try to go through it tomorrow, if possible. Please send me your address and I think I can fill in a bunch of blank spaces for you.

Sincerely, Wanda Stalnaker 1185 Palisades Drive Jacksonville, FL

Bill---ran across this which you may already have. Trash it if you do. My g-g-grandfather, James Jameson, had a brother. John, (06 Jul 1784---20 Nov 1855) who lived in Wilcox Co AL. He married Winniford Ratcliff (b. 09 Jan 1787---d, (?) 26 Dec 1826. They had sons: Dr. Thomas Jameson (don't know about him) and William John Ratcliff Jameson, who went to Brenham, Washington Co TX and married Musadora Antonette Watkins. They had four daughters: Antonette Watkins J., Mary Elizabeth, Willie Etta and Laura. John and Winniford went to DeFuniak Springs where they died and are buried. Winniford's father was Dr. John Ratcliff of Wilcox Co AL. John's siblings, besides my grandpaw James, were Elizabeth, Sally, NathanielAlston, Duke Kimbrough, David Andrews, William Lancaster, Katherine, Annie, George and Lydia Jameson. I think the family worked its way down from NC--SC--GA--AL and then most of the brothers came to FL and some to TX, then scattered. I know my James came to Ft White, Columbia Co FL and somewhere along the line married Bahsheba Jane Tidwell. For a while James, Lancaster, Nathaniel and David were in F because they are in census records I visited the graves of James and Barsheba in Dec.. Jacquie
