Hester E. Wheeler split her half of the $8000 Wheeler estate between Fannie Simpson and her brother Ben. This might have been out of concern for the two fatherless teenaged children. Her Will was changed just six days before she died. It caused a lawsuit between Edwin Abbott and the Wheeler estate. He was said to have been very bad tempered and to have dominated his wife and ultimately alienated his son and namesake, who left and didn't return even to inherit his estate. No one knows what happened to his son.
