Notes

Susan Owen Tanner, my great grandmother was born in Athens, Alabama 9/24/1855. She married there 10/17/1875. Her daughter, Marguerite (who was a sister to my grandmother, Alice Armstrong Carter) was born in 1885 and married Clarence Chandler. They had at least one child, a boy named Clarence, Jr. I have no record of an Alice Owen Carter. There are many living children of Alice's and Marguerite's generation and I can clear up questions pretty easily at this point still. I've included a descendant chart of Feriba's and Charles' descendants in a *.prn file. Hopefully, you can translate and print it. I've just switched to "Family Tree Maker" by Broderbund, having given up after 13 years of Roots by Commsoft. I'm really pleased, so far.

I don't know much about the Thomas Carter family. Can I help in any way? Sounds intriguing...
