Notes

Sometime between Jan, 1886 and Dec, 1890, George W. West and Sarah Ann Moss, with their daughters Rose and Lilly, moved to Luling, Caldwell County, TX. They owned a motel and lived on a farm. In 1902, Luling was a railroad terminal town. It was while the West family owned the motel that Lilly met and fell in love with William Henry Hiram Esthan Edward Nobles, Sr., her first husband. On 1/3/1903 G. W. West bought two and a half lots in the town of Luling, TX. In 1904, the young couple moved to San Antonio along with the brides' father.
