Married his first cousin. In the early part of 1870 they moved to Moody, TX becoming one of the first settlers. William M. Moody is the pioneer of Moody, this town being built on land once owned by him. he laid out the town on 25Apr1881 and gave the railroad 20 acres for the depot, and subsequently divided 100 more acres with them.
