She came to Houston in 1905 from Oneonta ,AL. She broke her hip when she was about 80 and lived in bed until she was slightly over 100. She was a very kind and patient woman.

I found a Settegast-Kopf Funeral Director's business card on which Mother (Fannie Augusta Carter) wrote, "5:30 PM Sat Aug. 9 Mother died".
